Lake Marburg, Codorus State Park, York, PA

NOTE: To kayak in PA, you are supposed to apply for their registration or get a launch permit for your launch site. I went numerous times before I found out this information so apparently they don’t check permits that often, but it might not be a bad idea to shell out the $20 just in case. You’ll get stickers to place on your boat. To get your license, visit: https://www1.pa.wildlifelicense.com/start.php

Lake Marburg is a beautiful place to paddle. The park is also beautiful. There are several boat launches in the park.

Here’s a map of the park: http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/findapark/codorus/index.htm?tab=Maps#Maps

We (my brother who was a first timer and I) launched at the main launch and there were bathrooms there. There was a dock to launch from as well as a ramp.

The water was smooth and it was a fun paddle with gorgeous scenery.
